HOW CAN I MAKE A DONATION?
You can make a cheque out to Shepherd's Cupboard Food Bank or a cash donation at Alterna night deposit box. (label envelope Shelburne Food Bank)
We also accept e-transfers at Alterna.
Cheques may also be mailed to our address (shelburnefoodbank@gmail.com). For tax receipt info please go to the donate page on our website.
Food Donations can be put in the big yellow cart by the exit doors at No Frills. The Shelburne Public Library accepts food donations also. For larger donations please contact us for a drop off time.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
We are located at the Mel Lloyd Centre 167 Centre St. Entrance A - Please wait outside the doors to be met by a volunteer in a blue food bank t-shirt. Clients are served on a first come first serve basis.Â
We are open Wed. 11:30 - 12:30 pm and Thurs. 6:30-7:30 pm.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON MY FIRST VISIT?
As a first time client please bring with you proof of address, photo ID for your self and anyone in your home you are going to claim as part of your household. You will also need proof of any income and expenditures (hard copies or statements on your phone are acceptable) Volunteers will be wearing blue Food Bank t-shirts. You will be interviewed by a volunteer and then when you qualify you will be given a 3-5 day emergency supply of food.
